We Raise Money for Communities in Schools of Renton
What is Communities in Schools of Renton?
For the past three years LMA has worked together to
raise more than $25,000 to benefit
Communities in
Schools of Renton (CISR). CISR is a non-profit
organization that has served Renton
public school students and their families, free of
charge, since 1994. They provide everything from school
supplies to food and mentoring--whatever is necessary
for students to succeed in school.
What is Break-A-Thon?
One way we support CISR is with our summer fundraiser,
Break-a-Thon. Much like a walk-a-thon, LMA kids solicit
funds from family and friends with per-board donations or a
fixed amount. At the actual event the kids use their martial
arts kicks to break as many boards as they can in a set
amount of time. Every dollar raised is then donated to CISR.

our
Break-a-thon page for more information.
For more than five years Instructors Robert, Micah, and Geofrey have
volunteered their time to go into 10 of the local
public and private elementary schools and
teach Tae kwon do during PE class. Every year they help more than 6,000 students develop their focus and self control by practicing the three rules of concentration: “Focus your eyes, focus your mind, and focus your body.” This high-energy cardio program coupled with
LMA's top notch anti-bullying campaign helps keep kids fit and safe.
